My sweet, beautiful, amazingly witty girl has been through so much this summer. Daddy's upcoming deployment, a new school, the unfortunate passing of the guinea pigs.... Things got worse last night when she discovered she left her diary at her friends house (the picture above was taken before the sleepover birthday party she attended). Her friend lives an hour away. Not exactly convenient for leaving items. She was distraught and began listing all the bad things piling up around her. I called the friend and requested they mail back the diary. She made due with some loose paper that she can later attach and snuggled up in my bed. She is still sleeping. She has handled all this change like such a trooper. I'm hoping to add a little good to her day.
