David and Goliath

Grandma sent this book for Wyatt. Wyatt is not a big reader. However this was the perfect "bad guys" vs. "good guys" (all with Gods help of course) I can't count how many times I have read it to him already. Thanks Grandma!

Thoughtful

To the girls from the boys.

Cooking

I made Pioneer Woman's fried chicken, homemade buttermilk biscuits and ever so fattening and buttery mashed potatoes last night. Those are my flat version of the biscuits on the stove, everything else is somewhere in the midst of that mess (clean-up crew?) Potatoes turned out great. Biscuits and the chicken? Well, it was my first try.

Game 2

A promise to swing after the game, full attire, no meltdowns.
Run!

Kick!

Rest.

Slap hands.

Wyatt's first game

So after 2 cancelled games Wyatt finally had his first soccer game tonight. I had some serious doubts. First his shorts were too big and he cried. Then his jersey was too big and itchy, and he cried. Then he didn't want to play, and he cried. Then he didn't want to put anything on, and he cried. After much coaxing and convincing (to which I told my husband I was NOT going to do each week - he is only 3 after all) we finally made it.

He rocked it! He played half the game (which was probably a total of 10 minutes on the field) He ran, he kicked, he worked hard! Uncle Bill would be proud!

And he made friends. I heard him tell a boy, and his coach "I have a sword". Always fighting......

And in the end there was a juicey!

We think we might try it again on Saturday!

First Day of School

Star wars shirt, star wars lunch bag and one crazy boy ready for preschool!

A Day in With Wyatt

A little morning praise and worship session.
With some "firefighting" in the back yard.

A Day Out with Payton

Last Sunday after church I took Payton to the Museum of Art. She wanted to "sketch" some paintings there. Yes, those are slippers.
A little disgruntled when I told her it was time to go, she soon perked up at an impromtu stop to dance with the pigeons.

And to do some more sketching.

Sprinkled with a little splashing.

And ended on a sweet note!

Look Out

Wyatt "looking out" for Payton to get off the bus.
