Nine

My first born turned 9. NINE. What? She had a rockin cool Mad Science Party followed by a sleepover with 5 friends. She is one of a kind, my girl. Intelligent, spirited, energetic, and artistic. Most of all - LOVED.

Black and Whites

I decide to pull out my camera more in the last week or so. I don't do enough picture taking - I mean other than my kids. Then I decided to do some editing afterward. Here a few images from our trip to the NAT.
Payton really enjoyed climbing the trees while we waited for the museum to open.
I love this girl.

Natural History Museum

February is half off museum month in San Diego. Balboa Park has some amazing museums. It's been my goal to try and hit one a week with Payton. We did the Fleet Science Center last week (maybe I will get around to posting pictures from that one). I love watching her delve into stuff she loves.
Fossils....her fave!
I specifically wanted to go to the Titanic exhibit. It was fascinating, albeit a little morbid. We were given passenger cards with names and information. At the end we found out if we survived the sinking! Payton wasn't into that part - she handed her card over. In the end though we both survived!
I also love watching my daughter joyfully frolic around waiting for the museum to open. So carefree and happy.

Wyatt's Day

Wyatt is officially 5 today. We celebrated with friends this weekend at Chuck E Cheese but I wanted to make him feel special today too. Daddy is gone on a trip but we managed just fine. First was a picnic lunch and scooter ride in the park after school.
Birthday boy chose dinner.
And had a special birthday dessert. (hmmm...can you tell what season it is?)
The night even included a treasure map made by sister. We love you Wyatt!!!

Daddy

Payton told her Daddy she didn't like the view out of her bedroom window. So he created one for her.
And gave Wyatt one too. I.love.him.
