The Fair

It was a rough start at the fair......my first ride and my tummy was done.

Payton had a blast.

So did Wyatt.

My tummy recovered, mostly due to sticking with the kiddie rides and convincing Perkins to do the rest! thanks baby!

The Good Times

Thank you God for moments of fun. Moments filled with music, with laughter, with joy. In the midst of all the "other" moments filled with "other" things I pray that I can remember these moments.

Decorating

Here is Wyatt's contribution to halloween. "spooky" decorations.

Swashbuckling Goodtime

One hand me down Peter Pan costume
One pirate accessory kit from Target

One yard sale pirate costume

Priceless entertainment!

Holland Farms

This pumpkin within a peanut farm was so much fun! How cool that in Florida we could go out and pick some pumpkins from an actual patch, instead of at the grocery store.

Payton with her pick.

Checking it out.

oh - and there are sunflowers too!

Football

Watch out Peyton Manning (or insert any other popular football player, you get the idea)

Fighting

Here is a snapshot of what I do most days. All day. every day. each day. Wyatt is obsessed over good guys and bad guys. He enjoys playing anything that has to do with fighting. Gun, light sabor, karate style. Anything will do. Insert sigh here.

Fall?

While it might be October and officially fall it still feels like summer here, with a high of 85 today. Not the "Africa hot" as Mike likes to call it but the beautiful warmth of the sun, the kind of day that you know needs to be spent outside. We were torn last night trying to decide what to do with our day today. Attempt to hang onto summer or accept fall? We decided to hang on one more day and do something we actually didn't even do over the summer. We rented a ski boat from MWR, complete with a tube. A tube that Payton swore she would never go on.

ready to ride!
so far so good

"now this is what I call speed!" Wyatt

Wyatt and I took a turn on the tube first.

Lo and behold....Payton wants on....and on.....and on. She loved it SO much she didn't want to get off. We got going pretty fast and had quite a ride.

Yup, all by herself. She had the time of her life. She actually thanked me for showing her it could be fun and requested we get a boat just like this one, complete with a tube.

That makes for one HAPPY Daddy!
